Transformation: 2015-2016

The first year I did this, there was quite a difference in both Ax’s musculature and movement—you could literally see him bulk up and move correctly over the months. Last year’s post wasn’t as satisfying with its fair share ups and downs. Even though it started rough, we progressed to where we were better than we had been the year before.

This year has been a bit like last year. May to August were great, with Ax really going the way I had been working towards and the half-lease was a nice break for him while still keeping him fresh and going nicely. Then September to October was a complete train wreck—between my being gone and Ax acquiring some injuries, we both had a lot of time off to sit and do nothing. Because of this, November and December turned into “rebuilding months” where things stayed light and easy. From there things have gotten better and we are slowly coming back to where I want us to be.

This Sunday is the three year mark from when I first started leasing Ax in 2013 (before eventually buying him a few months later). Keeping in tradition of the past two years, it is time for our annual transformation post about how far we have and haven’t come in the past year.
