Breeches and Boat Shoes, this blog I created in college as a way to keep my family updated on the goings on with the then-new-to-me Ax, has been in my life since September 2013. From intercollegiate competition to summers on Martha’s Vineyard and adulting, this blog’s readers have read it all. But as the years have gone on, so much has changed since the founding of B&BS and the late college nights it thrived on—Ax and I have left our show ring days behind us and I spend more time at a desk than at the barn. Now a full-time professional in the communications sector of the equine industry and a fully-fledged adult amateur in the saddle, my blog and I are moving onward and upwards.
I am so excited to introduce you to The Working Amateur, a more mature but equally equestrian space to bring my creativity and thoughts to the internet. Don’t worry—Ax and I are still here, just with a little more life experience and a lot more wine. Check it out and subscribe for a splash of fresh material, some of the same content you (and I) know and love, and plenty of Ax’s cute face.
Breeches and Boat Shoes has been a fun ride, but it is time to dismount and tack up the next.
How exciting! Will be adding you to my blog-list 🙂
